About Us
Nestled in the heart of Richmond, BC, MyGuaBao brings the vibrant flavors of classic Taiwanese street food straight to your table — fresh, comforting, and made just for you. Located in a lively food court setting, our kitchen may be casual, but our passion for food is anything but.
Founded by two chefs, Joanne and Will, MyGuaBao was born from a shared love of authentic Taiwanese cuisine and a commitment to doing things the right way. That means no shortcuts, no pre-made dishes — just real food made to order, packed with bold flavors and prepared with fresh ingredients.
Our signature gua bao and street food favorites are handcrafted with care, bringing nostalgic tastes from Taiwan’s night markets to the Richmond community. Every bite reflects the dedication we pour into our cooking, from our savory braised pork belly to our crispy chicken bites.
But food is just part of our story.
At MyGuaBao, we believe in giving back. Over the years, we’ve proudly supported local initiatives, including meal donations to VGH frontline workers and participation in charity bazaars with the Richmond Hospital Foundation. To us, being part of a community means showing up — with food, heart, and purpose.

“Myguabao Restaurant never disappoints. I recently ordered the Dongpo Pork Belly Gua Bao & Salted Crispy Chicken, and it was a flavor explosion. The combination of the slow – braised pork and the crispy chicken was brilliant. The prices are reasonable, and the food is always fresh. Five stars without hesitation!”
